HST Jupiter Image

The Hubble Space Telescope was taken out of calibration mode today to image the new gigantic impact sight on Jupiter in the south polar region. The image was taken with the uncalibrated (and new) Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) in the visible spectrum. The illustration drawn on it by NASA clearly show degradation due to atmospheric turbulence in the impace sight which is larger than the planet earth.
